What a weekend it has been, I had a fab, fun Saturday night at Heaven! I’ve never been there before but my friend convinced me to hang out with him and his friends to watch Jess Glynne perform live at the Heaven night club. I wasn’t sure as to what I should expect when going to a gay club but to my surprise, there were a lot of straight females there hanging out and enjoying the tunes played in the club. At first; I felt out of place but in fact, you will be surprised as to how many straight girls and guys you will find in Heaven. However, what I find creepy is the sheer number of straight guys hanging about and targeting straight women…says something really if they choose a club like Heaven to pull chicks. Despite an eye opener of the world of Heaven, Jess Glynne came on at 2am and she completely smashed her set (I think she was at The Voice show earlier to perform her latest track because I recognised her outfit). Jess Glynne has a powerful tone of voice and can definitely sing live! She sang all her hits from Right Here to Real Love to her most popular track ever Rather Be. She’s originally from Muswell Hill (wooo near my ends) in North London and found her place in the music business with Rather Be with Clean Bandit! Again, I had an amazing night; probably one of the best nights I’ve ever had in a long while and didn’t leave until 4.30am! Top tip, watch your favourite artist at a gay club and pay your £4 standard entry! May xx
