Dozo has been on my go to list for a while and one day my dad called me up for dinner somewhere in Soho and little did I know he chose well! I was so excited I told my dad I have always wanted to dine here. My dad is not a sushi lover; he’s a typical, old school Chinese man who can pretty much appreciate a Chinese palette so good for him for trying something new.

About Dozo London: Dozo is a fine dining restaurant with two chains in London; one in Soho and the other in South Kensington. Their menu is every changing, serving something for everybody and not just quality sushi. They are all about the quality so expect fresh, the best quality of fish for all the sashimis, nigiris and maki rolls.
So what did we order? Well there were so much I wanted to try; I gave my dad the control to pick whatever he wanted. As a typical Chinese dad; he will pick more than we could stomach so I was concerned!! Here we go:

Chukka Wakame: Japanese sweet green seaweed to start with at £5.80. You would find this in any Japanese restaurant as a starter; I love this!
Tori Negima: chicken thighs with spring onion on a skewer stick £2.20
Spice Soft Shell Crab Nama Harumaki: Vietnamese wrappers with lettuce and Korean chilli sauce £9.80 : I love a soft shell crab and the chilli wasn’t too spicey and complimented the dish very well.
Sashimi Salad: Mixed salad with mixed sashimi, tobiko, & citrus dressing £9.80
Honestly, I am not a big salad fan but if you are on a low carb diet then this is perfect for you. Lots of greens underneath though.
Sashimi Mori Kyuu: 9pcs sashimi selection (3 kinds) £13.80
Hamachi Kama: Grilled yellow tail jaw with sea salt £9.80: I don’t have a picture of this but I didn’t particularly like it. I think I just can’t appreciate it as it’s suppose to be one of their delecatable dish on their menu.
Dozo Seafood Ramen: Noodles in miso soup base served with prawn, scallop, sliced fish, Fish cake, nitamago egg and vegetable £8.80
Dessert: a selection of iced mochi (vanilla, chocolate, green tea and mango flavours).

I know what you are thinking; that’s one heck of a lot of food for two people; even for me writing up this post and listing everything we ate that evening threw me as well! This was an insane amount of food and no on can deny us with a bit of food baby for the whole night! We sampled a bit of everything from the menu and I must say; the best stuff I enjoyed most were the sushi dishes. It was a pretty expensive dinner but all in all; an enjoyable meal (it could have fed 4 people) and spent some quality time with my dad.
