What I Would Do If I Have One Day in London

This is probably one of those burning questions for those who are getting the Eurostar into London for the day or even a residential Londoner bored out there brains not knowing what to do on their day off!! I have suffered many in the past of what I would do to entertain myself if I had a day to myself! I used to work in retail and i would have random week day off and off course all my friends would work Monday to Friday which left me with no friends to hang out with. Based on my eye opening experiences I’ve stumbled across over the years; here is a suggestion below for someone who loves food; likes to keep fit and take lots of pictures:

One Day in London by yourself:
Breakfast: you clearly love Instagram and Facebook if you are reading my blog for a start so you would want to go somewhere quirky to tempt you to want to take a pic of your brekkie. Bunnychow is situated on Wardour Street of soho; cheap and cheerful loafs with the soft bread scraped out for all the yummy fillings. A bunny is £4 – £5 so dead cheap and tasty breakfast…and you walk away with some cool photos of your breakfast to start the day.

Next I would head down to the V&A museum; it’s free entry and so much to see and admire, an exhibition of the world’s greatest art and design. You would be in there at least 1 hour to 2 hours!

What’s for lunch?

Try and get to Bao before you just about to get hungry; this newly opened cafe has a queue of 40mins and there’s a good reason why. A small little Taiwanese restaurant serving ‘bao’ milk buns (milk buns are basically buns that’s as light as air: light, fluffy and soft) with meat filling that will make you drool before you take the first bite. Again, a very Instagrammable location and unique food offering here in London. So be prepared to queue strategically.
I know it sounds crazy but Rebel1 is a spinning/fitness boutique in Liverpool St and offers all new customers a free class! It is very easy to get on the free class so before you make it down; why not experience a ride session! The good thing about this is that you don’t need trainers or towels; you just need a tank top and joggers in your bag! The cycling shoes are provided; with full shower/hairdryer/towel service to prepare you for the evening. A session is normally £20 so what perfect way to sweat out an hour session for free and come out totally refreshed, showered and ready for the evening! Supposedly you will catch your train back and hope this sheds a light on the many scenarios for a lone traveller for the day. May x
