Lets talk about Rawligion! They are an organic, plant based food and drink cafe situated behind Goodge Street Station and I was no doubt excited to check out a new opening within walking distance from my work place. Serving in its rawest form with no animal products or preservatives; all is made fresh on the day; your kale will even be massaged to create the juiciest salad to get your eyes and mouth salivating! All ingredients are locally sourced so keep an eye out on their popular dishes we’ve sampled on the night from Kelp noodles in pesto to courgette hummus with falafel.
Don’t worry; it’s not all rabbit food at Rawligion; they have an assorted raw selection of desserts from Chi Lime Pie, Caramel Shortcake and Strawberry Cheesecakes – delicious yet packed with goodness for the soul, well-being and most importantly – it is healthy hoorah!
And Lets Talk about Their Drinks: all I can say is that it kicks! Not your typical cold pressed juices but they are exclusively made for Rawligion. Plenty of health and medicinal benefits for sure but all I can say is you have to try it for yourself and have your own moments of “ooh”, “interesting” and “wow I can taste walnuts”.
Massive highlights for me:
Was that actually kelp noodles? I licked my plate dry and went for seconds; that’s how tasty it is.
If they didn’t tell me it was courgette hummus I wouldn’t have known or tasted the difference; it’s exactly like chickpea hummus. Where else are you going to find courgette hummus?! Rhetorical question but the answer is Rawligion :D)
