I have longed to watch the new sequel of the Avengers since the first one that came out and now it’s here!! I cannot contain my excitement and it has been a long wait for this film to finally come out. What is DCM Tuesdays?
“DCM Tuesdays ( Digital Cinema Media Tuesdays) is a free monthly film club open to media friends and partners of Digital Cinema Media. Showcasing new films, often before their theatrical window, it’s an opportunity for those in the industry to connect in an informal setting and catch some of the biggest new releases in the process.”
I have been to a number of these and it has been a privilege to attend the many monthly movie screenings and connect with people in the industry and the guy himself, Tom Linay; the Head of Film at DCM. We were also joined by a very special guest, DCM’s CEO, Karen Stacey; introducing what films to look forward to in 2015 and beyond and how the cinema medium is set to innovate in the future; all so exciting! This month has been their biggest turnout yet with 250 guests and growing (and I am so glad to be a part of the DCM Tuesday club)! The venue was at Vue in Leicester Square with complimentary pizza slices from Pizza Pilgrims (thank goodness as we didn’t have dinner and I am sure there will be many tummy grumbles during the film), thank you Pizza Pilgrims!!
Avengers Age of Ultron has already broken records at the UK box office, becoming Marvel’s biggest opening in Britain. Plenty of action packed scenes to grip us all and just a good tip for all movie goers; appreciate the credits at the end as you will be gratified with a tiny clip on what’s to offer in suggestion of the next sequel!
For all you movie goers and fans, DCM’s Karen Stacey explains how cinema advertising is at the top of its game and has surpassed all expectations. It was a very interesting read from their Dcm Blog.
