snail facial mask and vichy serum

I’ve started to experience the odd skin breakouts since being in Hong Kong as the weather here has been rather humid. The sun was scorching down on us at 28 degrees so I was expecting my skin to not adapt so well from London to Hong Kong. I ensured myself to drink loads throughout the day as well as applying water based serum and creams on my face. The last thing I need is more spot breakouts, dry patches and oily T-Zones. MY solution? So apparently the Bioderma Micellar Cleanser bottles are way cheaper here in Hong Kong than London. Logistically, I would have thought that it would be the other way round considering it’s a French brand but I am not going to argue; my sister says I should stock up to take back to London but I am not one to over stock as I have very limited luggage space for all my shopping. Thankfully, my sister was a little crazy and bought 4 different bottles of the Bioderma cleansers so I’ve been abusing her stash for days (wooo). Hong Kong’s SaSa store (aka the equivalent of Boots in the UK) has the best range of beauty and skincare products and every time I come here; I try to sample all their facial masks. We’ve all heard the positive things about snail skincare (the usual full of collagen and compounds that regenerate skin cells) so I thought I’d give that a shot. The mask was pretty slimy but it felt rather refreshing on my face. The pink cleansing scrub was something that I’ve found in SaSa, perfect for exfoliating away the dead skin cells for a smoother complexion.
Last but not least, my favourite Vichy serum to keep my skin hydrated for longer; a base layer before applying day cream. I know it sounds like a lot of work to maintain that not so vain face of mine but you can’t help it when the the air we breathe in just loves to beat you in the face. I thought I’d give you my roundups of my favourite things this month and here it is: Snail Face Mask, Bioderma Micellar Cleanser Water, Hand Fitted Face Exfoliator and Vichy Aqualia Thermal Serum.
