Today I made a healthy green smoothie with random fruits I found in the house. The past month or so, my mother has been making some horrendous smoothies for “health sake” rather than “health and happiness”. I have taken matter into my own hands and took control of the smoothie making with an epic smoothie recipe. Today I made a smoothie for two (and to prove my mother wrong that you can make tasty smoothies) with 1 granny smith apple, 1 kiwi, a handful of kale and a generous amount of almond milk. I have been using the Breville Active Blender to make my smoothie and the outcome was surprisingly good! If you are into your bits (like me) then this smoothie is a quick 5 minute job, otherwise you will need to sieve out the bits for (I admit) a tastier (swallowable) drink. My 5 a day is complete (had greens for dinner and a banana earlier.)
