Last week, I had organised a bridal shower for one of my best friends who is getting married this summer. I think Bridal is a bit of an American thing and she wanted to do it so why not. I love coming up with venue/gathering ideas and had a few options in mind: spa day, afternoon tea, dinner! Bridal shower is usually a gathering and showering the bride with gifts; but since she doesn’t want any gifts I thought it’s best to organise something to do. Spa day is usually the top choice but the problem with spas is that a treatment would last 1 hour max and can be rather pricey (£50 – £100 pp for a treatment) and additional costs for whatever we do afterwards! So my thought was to book out a hotel room and what’s better than the Lucy Suite, the best suite in Bermondsey Square hotel which includes a private balcony and hot tub. Yes, a hot tub! I only booked this place because of the private balcony with the hot tub; and for the night stay it’s £450. It seems a lot but considering the hot tub fits 8-10 people; that worked out to be around £45 per person. We had the suite at our disposable; no one chucking us out and we were able to use the space to entertain. Bikini party it is 😀
As for the view; it’s not the best view in the world; you see the London Eye in the distance but other than that; nothing too exciting if I have to be honest.
The room was airy and spacious; beautifully decorated and modern. I would definitely host another party/event and recommend it to all that’s interested in hosting a party at the Lucy Suite. Off course I was with the lovely Alice from Form 42; funny how I have shot many photos of her and vice versa but never pics of us both!

Booking: Book 2 months in advanced for Fridays and Saturdays as they tend to get booked up.
Price: Lucy Suite for the night stay is £450 incl breakfast in bed for two which you can opt out. Also, you will need a credit to make the payment, they do not accept debit cards.
Check in Check out: 3pm check in and 11am check out.
Nearest Station: Bermondsey
Facility: free wifi, double bed, black and white themed room, mini bar, waterfall shower ensuite, private balcony and hot tub for 8.
