Last year; I made a spontaneous decision to go to Paris for the weekend and do some full on fashion and travel photography with Alice from Form 42. She found a beautiful apartment from Airbnb but she had no companion (well her companion dropped out) so I filled the void and booked my tickets where I was due to leave in 2 days time! Gosh; a last minute Eurostar ticket is double the standard price (I wanted to cry). I remember on this particular day; we were up at 6am to get to the Fountain on the Place de la concorde and Alice was right; we need to take our snaps fast because we saw coaches at the corner of our eyes making pit stops and there we saw a truck load of Chinese tourists with their selfie sticks. I have huge stage frights so to run around barefoot for a pose and snap is the scariest thing I could experience and the freezing cold wind did help to keep my mind off my anxieties. All in all; it was a fun morning (but a seriously cold one) to prance around as well as appreciate what Place de la Concorde has to offer. It is one of the major public squares in Paris, if not the largest public square in the capital of France. We came here because we appreciated the architecture, the texture and marble like crafts from the fountain to the pillars located around the square. Thanks to Alice and her awesome lense; she has captured the beauty of it all. Full credit to Alice for all of these photos here
Do check out Alice’s fashion and travel blog Form 42; her photography is stunning.
