I was at the St Ermin’s Hotel over the weekend to look at potential wedding venues for my sister. She’s currently in Australia so I’m am going on her behalf to check it out whether this will be the venue for her or not. Obviously; she’s not gonna base it all on my opinions alone; we will be Facetiming on the go with the events coordinator. First impressions; wow it is an impressive looking hotel; grand and oozes luxury. Whilst I was toggling with my apps to get skype or Facetime to work; the coordinator has already showed me the whole venue eek! Well I managed to capture the show around on my camera so I am hoping to send it to her. Finally, I managed to get skype to work so I did another tour for them privately and tried to remember what she said!! The ballroom is gorgeous; tall ceilings with balcony views across the whole room with a potential wedding reception in the next room. My sister wasn’t keen on the carpet and was concerned about the size as they seem to have a bigger number in mind. St Ermin’s Hotel is in the heart of London, 2 minutes from St Jame’s Park station which means it’s very easy to get too. I have a feeling that my sister would prefer a wedding reception in the country where you aren’t so confined in London. It is her decision; I decided to snoop around one more time and take some photos of this gorgeous hotel before leaving. I noticed they do Afternoon tea, very very tempted…next time!

A little fact about St Ermin’s Hotel: we are not just entering a luxury hotel they are revisiting history. St Ermin’s is built upon the site of a 15th century chapel dedicated to St. Ermin (a derivation of St. Armel.) In mid to late 19th century, Westminster underwent great changes and expansion, resulting in the creation of St. Ermin’s Mansions by E.T. Hall in 1889, the building that now forms the basis of St. Ermin’s Hotel.
