There is a popular Youtube clip which features a young Korean girl that teaches you how not to take a selfie and the angles to go for. The video illustrates exactly what angle you should take your selfie and showing you the drastic difference from fat ugliness, to cute pretty selfie (from low angle to high angle shots).
It is true, we as commuters love to sit a lot and have a lot of spare time whilst sitting on the bus and trains. What better to do than taking a sneaky selfie. But this is the general mistake; because these secret selfies on public transport means you opt for the low angle shot which gives you the double chin, fat ugly look as Lee Dong Min portrays:
However, Dong Min then educates us that if you take a selfie from a high angle, this trims down your face; making you look skinner than ever, with the combo of illuminating natural lighting on the side of her face. Her Eyes appear bigger and .. looking from ugliness to pretty.
Here is her infamous Youtube clip about taking the perfect Selfie.
#Selfie has become a social phenomenon and at least we should get our angles right! Mobile devices are even adapted to cater for these selfie moments where phones have incorporated a selfie app with the camera which photoshop blemishes, and smoothen lines whilst taking your perfect selfie.
I hope you have enjoyed my post today and would love to hear what you think.
