Code Beautiful is a brand I’ve not heard or seen before; first impressions count and I must say that their Code VLM mascara packaging did make me go “oooh”. It slides out followed by a flip me over flap to release the mascara product. I admit that I’m pretty brainwashed by the commercial brands out there but when something comes along that I’ve not heard of; I give it a go and I like the idea of trying something new. Some of the problems I face is smudge marks below my eyes which can be very annoying so I am expecting good things from this. I have been using this mascara everyday for 2 weeks now and I am pretty impressed; it doesn’t clump my lashes and smudge proof throughout the day. I took the test further by wearing it at a hot yoga class – despite a small smidge it didn’t do too badly so it’s already a big thumbs up for me. One thing I didn’t like is that the brush is coarse when applying it against my lashes but since it does the job I don’t mind it so much. Code VLM mascara retails at £19.95 which is steep for a mascara – that’s the same price as Clarins and Mac but when something works; I stay loyal and stick with it. Dare to try something new? You can find their mascaras and all the details on their site here.
