Brunch at Opso: Modern Greek Food

Met up with the lovely Steph from Eat With Steph for brunch on Sunday. I saw pics from her instagram and I had to come down and eat with her at Opso. At first; I thought it was a Japanese place but oh no, far from it! Opso is a modern Greek restaurant in the heart of Marylebone, London. We had a massive brunch as clearly; our eyes were bigger than our stomach. What did we order:

Strapatsada scrambled eggs on grilled sourdough bread, cherry tomatoes, feta cheese £8
OPSO pancake with cheese cream strawberry jam and blueberries £6
Snails and chips with bacon and vinegar £9.50
Salmon burger with tomato jam and garlic mayo in a squid ink bun £6

I loved the meal; it was delicious, hearty, creative and Instagrammable! I came in wanting to try their squid ink bun mini burger and although it was tasty; I wanted it because of the novelty factor; however the bun itself didn’t taste so fresh :s The next thing that intrigued me was the snails, bacon and vinegar chips – I am no fan of snails but sounded unusual so I have it a go. My thoughts? Flippin tasty!!
I have to really rate their service; it was fantastic! They are very attentative even when we asked for the bill and Steph carried on eating; the waiter suggested to not present the bill until Steph had finish her food! They really care about their service and our enjoyment of their food! As we left I had to tell them that their service was fantastic because your feedback can really make their day; especially when it made my experience that memorable and enjoyable. I hope you can get yourself down there and try it; check out the pics on Instagram; it is worth drooling over! May x
