When Clarins asked me which colour foundation shade I wanted, I didn’t realise I wasn’t choosing one but 4 shades of their foundation range. Just over a month ago; I attended their beauty event at Clarins HQ and learnt so much about their skincare and makeup range. I then took what I learnt to practice and created a 5 minute uplifting look (where I completely shat myself scared by the way!) I genuinely thought that was the end of it but little did I know they wanted to gift a large goody bag for me to replace all of my old makeup in my drawer! I had the gift delivered to my work address and off course like an girl; my attention diverted from my work and started to open all the red boxes to find out what I got ^____^
I was spoiled for sure and received makeup to create my 5 minute, 10 minute and 15 minute looks. I took on this challenge and did my research online by reading blogs who’ve created their 5/10/15 minute looks, as well as clips on Youtube and Clarins how to videos.
5 Minute Uplifting Look:
To create the 5 minute look; I needed the BB Creme SPF25 in 00 Fair, Multi Blush in 04 Rosewood, Wonder Perfect Mascara in Black and Instant Light Lipstick in No.05 Red. Usually I take pics with my DSLR camera but what I thought was fitting to this post was to upload Selfie ready pics from my makeup looks as ultimately, I am generally selfie ready than I am camera ready. Thankfully, the sun came out this weekend after a long week of torrential rain. The BB creme has a thicker consistency which is also very illuminating. The multi blush is a creamy texture where I use one finger to dab on my cheekbone, and a clean finger to smudge it in! I have been using the Wonder Perfect mascara for over a month now (every single day) and I absolutely love it; I cannot live without a mascara and love trying a new brand every time I finish one. The lipstick is actaully like tinted lip balm; lots of moisture and glossy too! I did time myself and I managed to create my look in 4 minutes and 23 seconds…not bad at all! So here are my 5 minute makeup look selfies

10 Minute Makeup Look:
So I grabbed my Makeup wipes and started from scratch again to create my 10 minute look. The makeup I was using were: True Radiance Perfect Skin Foundation SPF15 in 105 Nude, Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch, Multi Blush in 04 Rosewood, Instant Concealer for Tired Eyes, Kohl Crayon in carbon Black, Instant Light Lipstick in Red and Wonder Perfect Mascara in Black.
What can be quite tricky is picking out a foundation colour online; not only that I not only just got back from a holiday; but I have tanned a couple shades darker so the foundation shades were slightly lighter; but that was to be expected. My tan will eventually fade and the colour would match by then however; I can always mix my foundation. The True radiance foundation is lightweight (in comparison to the BB creme), again very illuminating and maximises coverage as well. If I compare it with the BB creme, the coverage and smoothness was better in my opinion which suited my skin and complexion. The instant smooth perfecting touch is like photoshop in a pot; it’s a creamy texture that acts like a primer and smoothens fine lines. The kohl crayon is soft and comes with a sharpener and I use a flat brush to smoothen the harsh lines for a smoother look. So my 10 minute look actually took 8 minutes so I saved myself 2 minutes of time (and took 23 Selfie pics to get the right ones!)
15 Minute Makeup Look:
With this look; I layered some colours by using the cream ombre matt eye shadow in 03 taupe, pro palette eyebrow kit that’s perfect for beginners like myself (including miniature tweezers! Very handy!) and a new Joli Rouge lipstick colour I wasn’t sure of in soft plum. Oh how was I so wrong; I judged the colour when I first saw it when in fact; it’s the most flattering colour I have ever worn on my lips…hands down! My eyebrows look more defined and honestly…I have never owned an eyebrow kit and can see the difference when I fill in my thick eyebrows
So I have completed 3 looks in a day (phwoar it was a whole day worth) and experimented with every piece by Clarins and so what were my favourite pieces? It was evident that I liked the BB creme, Joli Rouge lipstick, taupe ombre eye shadow, instant smooth perfecting touch primer and the Wonder Perfect mascara. Thank you Clarins, I have enough to last me through to winter, day and night. May x
